What is Haru?
Haru is an online tutoring marketplace that connects verified Korean and Japanese tutors with students around the world. Finding a tutor, booking, payment, and video lessons all happen in one place, so you don't need separate video or payment tools.
1. Find a tutor
Search tutors by topic, the languages they teach, and price. Every profile shows a bio, the languages taught, lesson options, and ratings and reviews, so it's easy to pick the tutor who fits you.
2. Choose a time and book
Pick a slot that fits your time zone from the tutor's open schedule. Haru detects your location and sets your time zone automatically, so lessons across time zones are less confusing.
3. Payment
Haru supports PayPal for international payments and NICEPay in Korea. Once you pay, your lesson is reserved, and you can review your bookings anytime.
4. Lessons and refunds
At lesson time you meet your tutor on Zoom, in the app or your browser. When a valid cancellation or refund applies, your payment is returned as Haru credit you can use on future lessons.
