What is Haru?
Haru (also called HaruMeet, at harumeet.com) is an online marketplace that connects students with verified native Korean tutors, most of them living in Korea. Everything from finding a tutor to booking, payment, and video lessons happens in one place.
Which languages and subjects can I learn?
Mostly Korean — beginner lessons, conversation practice and TOPIK prep — plus live classes on topics like K-pop, K-dramas, K-beauty and lifestyle. A few tutors also teach Japanese.
How do lessons work?
Choose a time from your tutor's open schedule, book and pay, and meet your tutor on Zoom, in the app or straight from your browser.
How do payments and refunds work?
We support PayPal for international payments and NICEPay in Korea. When a valid cancellation or refund applies, your payment is returned as Haru credit you can use on future lessons.
How are tutors checked?
Every tutor profile is reviewed and approved by the Haru team before it goes live — the introduction, the subjects taught and the price. New tutor applicants also have a short video interview with the team before approval. Each profile shows the languages the tutor speaks, reviews students left after lessons, and an open schedule shown in your own time zone.
