Prices

HaruMeet prices: 1:1 online Korean lessons, paid per lesson

A 25-minute lesson costs $7.70–$20.90, median $11.00, fees included. Your first lesson with each tutor is 50% off — about $5.50 at the median price.

HaruMeet (Haru) is an online marketplace for live one-to-one lessons with verified Korean tutors, most of them native speakers living in Korea. Each tutor sets their own price, and the price on a tutor's profile is the price you pay: the 10% student service fee is already included and nothing is added at checkout. There is no subscription and no sign-up fee. You pay per lesson, or per lesson pack if you want a discount.

Price range

What students pay, fee included, across the 19 tutors who currently teach Korean on HaruMeet. Tutors set their own rates, so their profiles are always the up-to-date source.

Median$11.00$22.00≈ $26.40
Highest$20.90$38.50≈ $50.16
  • 10 of 19 Korean tutors charge $11.00 or less for 25 minutes.
  • 50-minute lessons are priced separately by each tutor and are often less than two 25-minute lessons — for example, one tutor charges $13.20 for 25 minutes and $19.80 for 50 minutes.

First lesson 50% off with each tutor

Your first lesson with each tutor costs half the normal price — $5.50 instead of $11.00 at the median rate.

  • Once per tutor, so you can try several tutors at half price.
  • For a single lesson, not a pack.
  • Can't be combined with a coupon, a discount code or a pack discount.
  • Only with a tutor you haven't booked or paid before. A trial that is later refunded still counts as used.
  • On the tutor's profile, choose "Trial lesson (50% off)" before you pay.

What the price includes

  • A live one-to-one video lesson with your tutor on Zoom, in the Zoom app or your browser. You can join from 10 minutes before the start.
  • The 10% student service fee — the displayed price is the total.
  • Booking, rebooking and reminders on HaruMeet, with lesson times shown in your own time zone.

Not included: any foreign-currency conversion fee your card issuer or PayPal may charge. Lessons outside Korea are charged in US dollars.

Lesson packs

If you plan to keep going with a tutor, a pack lowers the per-lesson price:

PackDiscount (current)
1 lesson—
5 lessonsno discount
10 lessons10% off
20 lessons15% off

Unused lessons in a pack expire 180 days after payment, and expired lessons can't be refunded or converted. Packs are bought per tutor and per lesson length.

Cancellation and refunds

  • 12 hours or more before the start: cancel free in My bookings. The lesson goes back to your balance — rebook it with the same tutor, or convert it to Haru Credit for any tutor.
  • Within 12 hours of the start, or a no-show: the lesson is used, nothing is refunded, and the tutor is paid.
  • Need a different time? Cancel at least 12 hours ahead and rebook the time you want.
  • If the tutor cancels, the lesson comes back to you in full.
  • Bookings less than 12 hours ahead go to the tutor as a request. You can cancel free while it's pending; if the tutor doesn't respond, it's cancelled and the lesson returned automatically.
  • Something went wrong in a lesson? Report it within 24 hours after it ends and the HaruMeet team reviews it.
  • Refunds are paid as Haru Credit in US dollars, usable with any tutor. Credit isn't cashed out except where the law requires it. See the Terms of Service for the full rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a subscription or membership fee?

No. Signing up is free, and you only pay for the lessons you buy — one at a time or as a pack.

Is the 10% service fee added at checkout?

No. It's already in the price on each tutor's profile, so the price you see is the total. Your card or PayPal may still add a currency conversion fee because lessons are charged in USD.

How does the 50% first lesson work?

Your first single lesson with each tutor is half price, once per tutor. It can't be combined with coupons, codes or pack discounts. Choose "Trial lesson (50% off)" on the tutor's profile before you pay.

What happens if I cancel?

Cancel at least 12 hours before the start and the lesson comes back to your balance to rebook or convert to Haru Credit. Cancelling within 12 hours, or not showing up, uses the lesson with no refund.

Can I get my money back instead of credit?

Refunds are paid as Haru Credit, which you can use with any tutor. Credit isn't paid out in cash, except where the law requires it.

Do lesson packs expire?

Yes. Unused lessons expire 180 days after payment, and expired lessons can't be refunded or converted.

Why is a 50-minute lesson sometimes cheaper than two 25-minute lessons?

Tutors set their 25- and 50-minute prices separately, and many price the 50-minute lesson a little lower. Both prices are on the tutor's profile.

Which cards work from Singapore or Australia?

Choose "International credit / debit card" or PayPal at checkout. Both are processed by PayPal in US dollars. The Korean payment options accept only Korean-issued cards.
